There were a number of key skill sets and lessons that you’ll learn it’s been invaluable for your career. here are the 7 Things that Gym can make you achieve your business :
1. Goal Setting Is Essential for Growth

It is so rewarding to set a goal (whether it’s to run 100 miles, be able to bench press 100 lbs., to spar in 100 competition etc., make 100 amount in sales, move 100 amount of product etc.) and work your ass off (exercise pun intended) to achieve it. By actually reaching the tangible results it increases motivation, helps you to stay on task and elevates your business to that next level.
2. Tracking Progress is Essential for Goal Achieving
Setting the initial goal is great, but if you don’t track your progress (or metrics) it’s hard for you to either recreate the process over again once it’s a success or see where you went wrong if it was a failure. For example, if you made it a goal to be able to run a marathon but never tracked how far you ran, it would be challenging to know if you were physically and mentally ready to run the 42 kilometres come race day. Similarly with your business goals, making sure to do weekly or monthly check-ins to see if you are on track is essential for ensuring your goals are achieved.
3. Practice Your Interpersonal Skills Everywhere
As someone who has only been in LA for six weeks and only knew a handful of people before moving here, 220 Fitness has proven to be an amazing place to practice interpersonal skills and subsequently meet new, incredible, like minded individuals. The best part about practicing your interpersonal skills at somewhere like the gym is that you already have something in common with each person to talk about (your shared experiences at the gym) which makes breaking the ice much easier and more comfortable – even for the shyest of people. Over the course of time, you will be amazed at how much more comfortable you become in interviews, formal networking events and conferences just from reaching out in more casual settings and talking to people.
4. Doing What you Love Will Yield Results
If you’re running a business that you are passionate about, it won’t feel like work. I like to tell myself that I haven’t worked a day since I started my company because I love everything I’m doing. The same goes for your exercise regiment – if you don’t like weights or don’t like yoga, don’t do them. Find something that you enjoy participating in and it will make it so much easier to achieve the results you want. However, as I’ve noted in a past article, be mindful that you can be anything but you can’t be everything (in fitness this will lead to over-training and in business this will lead to burnout).
